Chapter Chaser offers one-to-one tutoring sessions in Reading & Writing, Homework Help, Phonics, Test Prep, and College Essay Writing for students in grades K-12. Founder and primary tutor, Colleen Nester, doesn't just put a bunch of workbooks in front of her students. Instead, she chooses literary materials that are based on each student's skill level and interests, customizing a curriculum that encourages critical thinking while having fun.
Due to Covid-19, Chapter Chaser is temporarily hosting all sessions online.

What's up? I'm Colleen! Ever since I can remember, I've always loved to teach others how to read, write, and build upon their creativity. That’s why I started Chapter Chaser.
In 2018, I graduated Rutgers University with a BA in English and earned certificates in Creative Writing and Public History. During my time in college, I worked at The Tutoring Center; after graduating, I was hired as a teacher at Huntington Learning Center. These positions have shown me how rewarding individualized teaching can be. My students have conquered their fears, flourished in rising English grades, and celebrated with higher standardized test scores in hand.
Now as an independent tutor, I've created my own tutoring curriculum that propels students forward with sharp writing and critical thinking skills (and based on my current students' enjoyment and rising grades, it works).
